How do I navigate this site?

You may click on links (underlined text) or you may click on images. Most of the pictures on this site are links that will take you to sections providing more information about that type of product. So whenever you are in doubt, just click on images.

How do I buy a product?

There are three simple steps:

  1. Go to the shopping area and locate the product(s) you like.
  2. Place them in your shopping cart one by one.
  3. Go to checkout, where you specify your payment and shipping information.

Locating products: First you must go to the shopping section. The icon showing "Shopping" in a circle at the bottom will take you there. When you go to the shopping section, you will see the various product categories. If you click on a category you will see subcategories (if there are any) or the products under that category. When you get to the products you will notice a certain number of them listed. If there are more products than those listed, then in the bottom of that page display you will notice these icons that can be clicked to show you more products.

Placing a product in the cart: When you first locate a product in the shopping area you see a small picture and a short description. Click on the small picture of the product. This will show you a larger picture and a more detailed description. On this second presentation you will also see a button that looks like this:   Clicking that button will add the displayed product to your shopping cart.
After each product is added to your cart, you will see a summary of what you have in your cart with quantities and prices displayed also. You can adjust quantities at this point by changing the quantity number for any of the items. To change quantities, simply sweep the quantity number with your mouse holding the left mouse button down and then type the new quantity number. Then click on the button to make the change take effect. Then you may click the button to go back to the products section to add other products to your cart, or you may click the button to proceed to checkout where you specify your payment and shipping information.

Checking out: When you are done adding products to your shopping cart, you should click on the button that looks like this to go to the checkout. In this display you will notice two columns. The left is for those customers that have shopped before on this site and thus the system remembers their shipping information (but the system does not remember credit card numbers for your security). The right column is for first time customers. If you are a first time customer, check the circle next to "I am new to this site" and do the following:

  • Type in a Username (this can be any nickname by which you wish the system to remember you)
  • Select a password that you can remember. This is your key to accessing your account. So make sure it has a combination of at least 6 characters and/or numbers that someone else cannot easily guess. (Hint: it is not a good idea to use your birthday or family names or phone numbers etc that someone other than you can guess).
  • Type in a reminder phrase in the "reminder word" space.  This is like a second password that can be used to help you retrieve your password if you ever forget it.
  • Fill in your shipping information. This is where we will ship what you buy.
  • Fill in your billing information. This is the address where your bank mails you your credit card bill. If your billing address is the same as your shipping address, just check the "same as above:" box right underneath the Billing address line, and you do not have to fill the information again. But if the shipping address is different from the billing address you must specify both.
  • Click on the   button that is on the bottom of the display (at the end of the right column).

If you have shopped before on this site, just check the little circle next to "I am a registered customer" and enter your username and password. Then click on the "GO" button at the bottom of the left column.

On the next screen select the shipping method that you prefer, and check the little circle next to the address where you would like your merchandise to be shipped. On the bottom of the page select the payment method that you prefer (either credit card, or fax/money order). If you choose to send the credit card information via the internet you must fill all the requested information regarding the card number and expiration date. If you do not feel safe enough to send credit card info through the internet, then select the option "check or money order or FAX credit card" by clicking the small circle next to it. After you have finished with your order, you will receive information for faxing your credit card info or sending a payment order through the mail. However, your order will not be processed until payment information has been received.

If you have promotion code or coupon number, you may check the box next to "yes, I have a coupon" and enter the coupon code in this same screen. The system knows what coupons are valid and under what conditions they apply.

When you are done with this screen click on the "continue" button on the bottom of the page. This will show you a recap of your order. After reviewing the recap of your order you must click ONLY ONCE on the "order" button: so that your order is sent to us. We will not receive your order and cannot retrieve it until you click on this "order" button. If you leave the site without confirming your order with the "order" button the order will be erased.

What are acceptable payment options?

We accept Mastercard and Visa, as well as any certified means like money orders or certified cashier's checks. Sorry but we cannot accept uncertified personal checks. If you use your credit card, it will be verified automatically when you complete and confirm your order. When you are in the section where you enter credit card information you are under a secure server which encrypts information before transmitting it out of your computer so as to protect it against fraudulent capture.
Still, if you do not feel safe sending your credit card information through the internet, you may opt to send in the credit card info by fax or mail. To take this option, do not enter credit card info during checkout. Instead check the circle next to the option "check or money order or FAX credit card". This option appears on the same screen and next to the area where the credit card info is requested.  After you complete your order (by clicking on the final "order" button), you will receive information about sending in your payment info. You will receive this information by email, so it is important to make sure that the email address you have entered is correct and complete. For example, if your email address looks like this: myname@someNetService.com make sure you have typed it all in; the "myname" is not a complete address and we cannot communicate with you by just that.

What is a coupon?

A coupon is a code that allows certain discounts much like the coupons you find in magazines and newspapers for store discounts. In this case however, instead of a piece of paper you have a code. This code is to be inserted in the coupon box that is on the screen that collects your payment information for your order.  The system knows what coupon codes are valid and for what purpose, as well as for which items or product categories. If the coupon applies to your order, the system will make proper adjustments to your order balance and you will notice it on the order confirmation screen. If the coupon does not apply to your order the system will ignore it. If you ever have any problem with coupons you may contact us. Notice however, that certain coupons are designed to work only once, so once they are used up they are no longer available.

What is this "Shopping Cart"? I do not see any carts around...

The shopping cart is a metaphor; not an actual cart, but the system simulates a cart like those you see in physical stores. The system keeps a list of the items that you would like to buy so as to track your ordering while you are navigating around the site.  This list is the shopping cart and it exists while you are within the site. So you can mark an item for purchasing by placing it on your list (this is what "add to cart" means). Then you can continue browsing the site for more products and add more to your list (the cart). When you are done, you "checkout" by specifying where you would like us to send the items and how you would like to pay for them.

To go back to the page where you left off, click on the "Back" button on the top of your screen. Or, you may click the "Main Site" button below to get to the reception area of the site.
